An outstanding World Cup campaign should strengthen a goalkeeper's case, not automatically overshadow an entire season of consistent excellence at club level. For me, Raya had done enough to win this award. He deserved far more recognition for the quality and consistency of his performances throughout the season. Simón is a brilliant goalkeeper, but I believe Raya was the more deserving winner. 🧤
