Sark brought up the 2021 team recently and said he couldn’t call the plays he wanted, due to personnel. He just stuck with “what they do best”. That offense averaged 35 points lol.

@Doc_Texas He is protecting Arch. Thats the only thing I can see. Arch hit his ceiling and hasn’t developed

@censoredhorn Protecting him would be dialing back the playbook, more quick reads.

@Doc_Texas Playbook seems very very plain. There aren’t a lot of reads, seems it swings, screens or chunk it deep. Nothing up the middle ever. This offense is gross

@censoredhorn We probably ran more RPO with Casey than any other year. I wouldn’t hate it.

@Doc_Texas That's the offense we need badly hopefully this wakes him up

@Doc_Texas Despite going to the playoff twice it feels like he wasted so much talent at Texas.

@Doc_Texas That offense was playing in the Big12. Not exactly renowned for its defensive prowess.

@remnanttexan We just struggled against UTEP not long ago. It’s the system, not the opponent.

@Doc_Texas He is more like Herman than people want to admit. He’s got his blinders on wanting this to be something it can’t be. Instead of oh wow we can be really good this way. It’s what happens when you build an offensive staff of yes men.

@Doc_Texas The more talent Texas gets, the worst his play calling becomes

@Doc_Texas He’s too stuck on what he wants to see the offense look like vs what it should look like.

@Doc_Texas He's in year 6 on a roster he created and he's blaming the personnel? With Texas's resources at his disposal? That's actually quite sad.

@Doc_Texas All that sideline to sideline shit doesn’t work as much as he wants to call it. He needs to allow his offense to work north and south as well

@Doc_Texas Casey was more prepared than Arch is. Smarter too. He would spend hours watching film and he knew every defense before we played, it’s why he balled out. Arch has no idea what he’s looking at when he drops back

@Doc_Texas Sark won’t change, we know that. He’s one of the most successful coaches in the game. The irony is, that’s part of the problem. Lol I used to try and drive the point that he was B-tier when Texas hired him, but many thought he was better than that. 🤷‍♂️

@Doc_Texas That was by far our best offense, you’d think a coach would learn to call what we do well year-to-year rather than try and instill “their offense” every year

@Doc_Texas Why won’t he just do what moves the ball. We don’t care who/what offense it is if it scores points.

@Doc_Texas Needs to realize if he doesn’t optimize the offense for Arch the season is done anyway. He thinks if Arch gets hurt we’re done but we’re done if it goes like this all year, so take the upside swing and maybe unlock something great. Many teams feature QB run, it can be done,

@Doc_Texas @ShawnAJefferson It was the best offense Sark had and it didn’t have near the talent.

@Doc_Texas Sarks offense has just gotten worse and worse over the years. His 2023 team was the best and his offense has regressed. Not just quarterback

@Doc_Texas If he’s not still doing that, he should absolutely resume doing that Ben Johnson’s opening press conference in Chicago, he said he had to break his offense down to the studs and build it around Caleb. He took them to overtime in the divisional in year one and that’s why.

@Doc_Texas Ewers > Arch Typical Texas donors forcing the hand of a coach who knows best.
