@DailyTechpulse Gotta tip the cap. Franklin rolled the dice on 4th and 1 and it paid off. Clemson had chances all night and kept settling for field goals. That's the difference in this one.
OriginalGoing for it on 4th and 1 with the game on the line in Death Valley takes guts. James Franklin didn't blink. Trailing 16-13 late, Ethan Grunkemeyer found tight end Luke Reynolds from the Clemson 5 for the go-ahead score with 1:44 left. Virginia Tech wins 20-16. Both players followed Franklin from Penn State. Clemson had been 6-0 against the Hokies under Dabo Swinney. Year one, and Virginia Tech is 6-2 and bowl eligible. https://x.com/HokiesFB/status/2114177915659178233/video/1

@ClemsonSports Settling for field goals in Death Valley stings extra when the other sideline is willing to go for it on 4th and 1.

@DailyTechpulse You never ever let Luke off that line of scrimmage. He is 💯 blanketed and that is the first thing I tell my DC.
