Kikuka Sho Day-of Analysis Very difficult to read the weather and track condition. Regarding yesterday's Kyoto turf, judging by the winning times, it remains a high-speed track favoring front-runners. However, depending on the rainfall, it feels like the race flow might favor horses that gradually advance from the rear, much like last year. The horses to target will change drastically depending on which race flow plays out. If the inner-front continues to be advantageous, I'd rate Justin Chicago very highly. Congestus also seems strong in a war of attrition, but he's too far on the inside. However, if it turns into a pattern like last year, I'd rate Sea to Summit very highly. Like Energico and El King last year, he's an outside horse that pushes up from the rear, and can circle around without being blocked by others from an outside barrier. He has finished within the top 3 in both slightly heavy track races, making him a type that doesn't mind bad going. Audacia also looks interesting, but the gate is too far on the inside. There's a high possibility he'll struggle to get out to the outside. With the track as it is currently, I am lowering my evaluation for Going to Sky, Bastille, and Sano No Greater.
